you know when you get in a car accident and all you can think about is how you wish you didn't turn on that street. or you left five minutes earlier. or you just didn't get in the car all together.
i got in a car accident. well not really, but just as traumatic. actually, way more traumatic.
i had about 30 minutes to kill before bikram, so i stopped at nordstrom rack to see if i could find any discounted treasures. about 20 minutes in, i was sick of looking through all the ed hardy bejeweled tees and decided to leave. as i walked down the main aisle passed the savvy rack, there it was. the really, really cute blouse i had been eyeing for a while, but could never find in my size. i snatched it, ran to the mirror, took off my blazer and slipped it on over my top. perfecct. i knew i would love it. i crossed my arms, pulled it up and felt this nice, but unexpected breeze. as my mom would say, "i showed my rack at the rack."
as i drove away, without the really cute blouse in my size, all i could think is - WHY? why did i go there? why did i have to see that top? why did i walk down that aisle? why didn't i just go to whole foods and do some grocery shopping where you don't have to try anything on. and you won't show your boobs to little children and an elderly couple that give you the type of dirty look only reserved for perverts who show their body parts to complete strangers?
on the bright side, i'm counting this towards my 1996 new year's resolution to moon someone.
